> Gluing

Adhesives should be applied uniformly along the phenolic backer as well as the substrate the laminate is going to be applied to. Adhesive should never be applied to only one select area. It is important that uniform pressure should be applied. Different types of glue can be applied depending on the press and the board used.

Below, we list certain indications for the most common types of glues and methods of application. However, these are very generic and can be influenced by a variety of factors.
It is always better to consult the supplier of glue to obtain the precise and personalized parameters.

Ureic thermosetting glue:
used in hot presses, it gives excellent result in all applications.
The general parameters are:
quantity of glue: 100 - 120 gr/m2
temperature: 100 - 140°C
pressure: 5 - 10 kg/cmq
time: 40 - 120"

PVA vinylic glue:
used in hot presses.
The general parameters are:
quantity of glue: 60 - 70 gr/m2
temperature: 60 - 70°C
pressure: 3 - 5 kg/cmq
time: 40 - 45"

PVA vinylic glue:
used in cold presses.
It is advisable to allow the glue to react for few hours after the pressing.
The general parameters are:
quantity of glue: 80 - 90 gr/m2
pressure: 3 - 5 kg/cmq
time: 20 - 30'

Contact glue:
used cold, it allows gluing
